Biography

CEO, MU:onoff

Choi Hwoain has a strong background in literature and public administration. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in literature from Yonsei University and her doctorate in public administration from Sungkyunkwan University.

Choi has extensive experience in the National Assembly, where she mainly handled policy responses and education-related tasks on blockchain and cryptocurrency at the Korea Blockchain Association. She served as the dean of the blockchain campus, a regulatory commissioner of the self-regulatory committee, and an advisor.

Choi is also a member of several blockchain-related committees, including the Industrial Economic Innovation Committee of the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Financial Supervisory Service’s Blockchain Development Forum, the Samsung Securities Digital New Industry TF Team, and the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone Operation Committee. She is also an advisor to the Gyeongnam Province Blockchain Pilot Leading Project.

Choi established Choi’s MU:onoff in 2022 based on domestic and foreign blockchain technology patents. The company launched services such as MU:Cops, which detects fraudulent coins. Choi also serves as an outside director of Yanolja.LTD.

최화인은 연세대에서 학사와 문학 석사를, 성균관대에서 행정학 박사를 받았다. 국회에서의 오랜 업무경험을 바탕으로, 한국블록체인협회(회장 진대제)에서 블록체인캠퍼스 학장·자율규제위원회 규제위원·자문위원을 맡아서 주로 블록체인 및 암호화폐에 관한 정책대응 및 교육관련 업무를 담당했다.

블록체인 에반젤리스트로 활동하면서 대통령 직속의 4차산업혁명위원회 산업경제혁신위원회 위원, 대통령직속 국정자문단, 금융감독원 블록체인 발전포럼 자문위원, 삼성증권 디지털신산업 TF팀 자문위원, 부산 블록체인 규제자유특구 운영위원, 경남도 블록체인 시범선도사업 자문위원 등을 역임했다.

국내외 블록체인 기술 특허를 기반으로 2022년 Choi’s MU:onoff를 설립해서 사기성 코인 판독 서비스 MU:Cops 등을 출시했다. 이외에 야놀자 사외이사를 겸하고 있다.
